King Of The Hill Server
Dec 4th

In preparation for the WDG KotH Cup I have setup a 14 man server for everybody to play on. It’s running all of the stock king of the hill maps so everyone can spend some time playing and learning the maps. Each one requires different class layouts and tactics to do well so there’s a map to suit everyone. It may be closed to hold matches in the cup, but as soon as the match is finished, it’ll open up again.

This is a training map for soldiers and demoman with a decent amount of hours accumulated playing that class, and what this map allows you to do is train and develop improved mid-air shot rockets against flying bots.
The bots AUTOMATICALLY spawn in a conveyor belt style and shoot up into the air for YOU TO SHOOT. You get unlimited ammo, which means unlimited rockets to shoot from. NO RELOADING. They do not shoot, nor strafe in the air, but they are thrown into the air and you practice your mid-air rocket shooting skills against them by precisely timing their location in the air and blowing them up in air.
This is great for soldier rockets, and demoman pipe grenades.
If you’ve ever felt that you were weak while trying to shoot a player out of the air, now is your chance to improve on that and become a master in that area by playing tr_airshot_v0!
Skill can be acquired over time and practice, and if you put a few hours on this map every week, or even an hour everyday, you’ll soon surpass those other players who lack the ability to shoot players in the air.
This is a great training map for learning to airshot with Soldier and Demoman in Team Fortress 2. It fires bots at you giving you the opportunity to learn. It taught me how to do it and now I am able to make some airshots in matches. It’s a really great skill to have.

“Where trains mean business”
Freight can be thought of as a bonus map. With CP_Steel progress slowing down towards the finish, Fishbus didn’t want to just work on fixes for older maps, so he created something within a month to test out some of his optimization abilities, and to keep him familiar with firing out new ideas for maps.
The product of this is cp_freight. A map where trains mean business, literally. The map has an ‘S’ shaped structure with two rails running through the map, from each teams last point, towards the middle and then back towards the enemies base point. Unlike cp_well, the trains have been extended in size and slowed down, to make them more involved during a battle. The trains are random, and are quite happy to run over or frustrate RED or BLU equally.
The second and fourth point are inside the teams warehouse, slowing down a steamroll and bringing the fight indoors. It breaks the pace and of course, the surrounding environment.
So enjoy this simple and symmetrical control point map with a more involved train system.
Custom models made by “Fish Ladder Theory”.
CP_Freight has been adopted by nearly every league, ladder and competitive tournament in the Team Fortress 2 Community. As this is the case, I think everyone should have it in their maps folder.
